Roger Federer is one of the most famous sports stars in the world and retains the title as Wimbledon’s most successful male player.
But for the first time in 23 years, the tennis ace will not be competing in Wimbledon, having played every tournament since 1999 and winning it five years in a row between 2003 and 2007.
Federer is still recovering after undergoing knee surgery last year, and is waiting for the all-clear from doctors to get back on the tennis court.
Away from his incredible sporting career, the 40-year-old is a devoted husband and father.

Who is Roger Federer’s wife Mirka?
Mirka Federer is a successful tennis player in her own right.
She represented Switzerland during her career, which saw her compete at the US Open, Wimbledon, the French Open and the Australian Open.
Mirka also competed at the Olympics at the top of her career.
Unfortunately for the sports star, her tennis career came to an end after she failed to recover from a persistent foot injury. From there she became Federer’s PR manager and took charge of his media affairs.

How long have Roger and Mirka Federer been married?
The loved up couple first met at the 2000 Olympics which was held in Sydney, Australia. They were both competing at the time.
They married at Wenkhenhof Villa in Basel, Switzerland in April 2009.
Roger and Mirka didn’t opt for a lavish showbiz wedding. They instead held an intimate ceremony and only invited their close family and friends.
How many children do Roger and Mirka Federer have?
Roger and Mirka are parents to two sets of twins.
The couple welcomed daughters Charlene and Myla in 2009, and five years later Mirka gave birth to twin boys Lenny and Leo.
Two sets of twins is a lot to look after, and Roger has praised Mirka in the past for doing a ‘lot of work’.
Roger added he helps as much as he can and that grandparents and team members all do their bit when it comes to childcare.
The family of six often travel together to follow Roger’s tennis career, which has seen him play in countries all over the world.
