In the preparation to stage yet another comeback at the age of 40, Roger Federer, who underwent third knee surgery few months ago has been enjoying the off time with family while also promoting the brands he endorses currently.
Roger Federer talks about the challenges of traveling with family on tour
The tennis star gave an interview to Swiss’ media publication Ringier, where he talked about having to balance the personal and professional lives amongst several other things. Federer reminisced the time when his first set of twins(Charlene and Myla) were born.
“Traveling with the whole family is not ideal in many ways. And then the girls were born. Twins! That gave us an unbelievable horror. I really thought we weren’t going to sort it out. I am really proud that we made it. But it is a Herculean task”, said the Swiss Maestro.

Federer, who often credits wife Mirka, for shouldering their personal life for most part of his career, had the opportunity to take off some responsibility from her during the lockdown.
Federer revealed in June about the activities he did with kids during lockdown
The 20-time Grand Slam champion revealed in June about the activities he had done with his kids during the season when tennis was shut due to COVID-19 pandemic.
“It’s all about my children really. Being a dad, being there for them. I like building Lego so that’s been a bit of a hobby of mine during the lockdowns. It was easy to sit down and take time to build a Harry Potter castle. That was some hard work there”.

With the ATP season coming to a close as the year-end championships are about to begin, there are expectations regarding what’s to come from Federer next year.
While the Australian Open appears to be impossible for the former world no.1 to compete, he might be optimistic to enter the grass-court season next year.
Also, the next gen stars like Daniil Medvedev and Stefanos Tsitsipas have already proved this year that they can make an impact at slams. Due to the heavy competition from a lot of youngsters, it remains to be seen how Roger Federer’s 2022 comeback will shape out.
