But the likes of Maria Sharapova, Serena Williams and Ana Ivanovic showed off their glamorous sides as they attended the annual WTA Pre-Wimbledon Party at The Roof Gardens in Kensington, London on Thursday evening.
Leading the elegance during the evening was Russian tennis ace Maria, who looked sensational as she showed off her tennis court-honed legs in an embellished mini dress.

The 28-year-old proved her worth as a style star in the eye-catching garment, in shades of nude, pale pink and dove grey, complete with a delicate applique floral design.
Slightly cinched in at the beauty’s slim waist, it also included sheer sleeves and an almost dangerously thigh-skimming hemline.

But the sports star’s perfect legs were a true match for the short dress, which she teamed with a simple pair of nude strappy heels and a tiny bright pink box clutch.
She turned on the charm for the cameras as she posed on the red carpet, showing off her beaming smile and golden locks coiffed into neat curls for the occasion.

Wimbledon’s pre-party was a veritable sartorial feast with the tennis stars serving up some seriously stylish outfits.
She was batting away the competition, but we reckon that Maria Sharapova takes the trophy in the style stakes, wearing a pretty pink embellished mini by Maison Valentino.
